Consolidated Infrastructure Group (CIG), formerly Buildworks Group Limited, is an infrastructure-focused company listed on the Main Board of the Johannesburg Stock Exchange.
CIG was originally listed on the JSE’s Alternative Exchange (AltX) in 2007 as Buildworks Group Limited. After purchasing Consolidated Power Projects (CONCO) in 2009, CIG listed on the JSE. Since then the company has grown organically into a diversified infrastructure group with a broad reach across Africa and the Middle East. It is not only a top performing supplier of heavy building materials to the construction industry but one of the top suppliers of high voltage infrastructure. Recently CIG added waste management to the holding company with the acquisition of a stake in Angola Environmental Servicos (AES).
The group has operated successfully in 19 African countries and strategically targets 50% of revenue to be generated from outside South Africa.
